Yes, that tweet is relevant to the title of this post.

I celebrated 2 different graduations this week, for 2 sons at 2 different places in life. They were emotional, celebratory, and marked both an end and a beginning. High school graduation is one of our few rites of passage left in society. So we do it up proud when one happens.

It is part of marking the passage into adulthood.

The problem is we do not do very well with the keeping going part of the event. The new door opens to our taking new challenges and paths to follow.

Graduation marks an achievement, one to remember. But we need to keep creating new graduation moments in our lives, even if no one else celebrates it with us. Just as the word suggests, graduation marks achievement. But it does not mean we have arrived. We are still moving forward.

So keep going!
