“I play till the clock hits zero”

This was Stefon Diggs’ remark on his amazing TD catch at the end of the NFC Divisional Divisional Round - New Orleans Saints v Minnesota Vikingschampionship game back in 2018. It was one of my favourite football moments, followed up by one of my favourite sports quotes. It makes sense, or it should anyway, but it packs a punch when you consider it in real life terms.

Play till the end.

Do not leave anything to wishes or ‘should have’s.

Run the play while you are still on the field, not in your head.

There are plenty of other things that I am sure you can take away from a dynamic moment such as this, but those were a few that stuck with me. The reality for Stefon’s team, the Minnesota Vikings, they went on to be blown out by the eventual league champions the next week. It can still happen. But your personal performance and playing till the end are still possible.

What moments and memories stick with you to encourage you forward?
