Thankfully, Jerry Seinfeld came up with a response for the personality types that prefer no outward celebration of holidays or festivities: Festivus! I celebrate mine by fully preparing for Christmas, so there are no airing of grievances here. But maybe a little feats of strength…
Anyway, as a leader, regardless of personality type or social style, we learn to accommodate everyone in our sphere of influence to help them become the best people they can be. For me, that means not everyone needs to sing Christmas carols or really enjoy prolonged gift exchange games. So how do you help people celebrate in their own way?
