I love Southern Comfort Zone by Brad Paisley. So much so, I made my kids listen to it repeatedly on a trip through the American south a few years back. They will never be the same, and they tell me so every time I bring it up.

The song brings up a good reminder for all of us. We can’t always put a finger on what it is that makes us who we are, but we sure know it when we’re in unfamiliar territory.

The Covid-19 pandemic has done just that for the majority of us. We have all felt out of our comfort zone, but still required to somehow function. As I mentioned in my last post, we can grow through these times. And grow we should. But a major obstacle in growth is often not knowing who we are at the beginning of the process. Our ‘comfort zone’, the place where we know who we are, what we are doing, and where we are going, is a spot we all need to have in our minds.

When we get rattled, we can take a moment to get a grip from within, and then adapt.

So what is your ‘southern comfort zone? If you haven’t already taken on my free challenge to re-examine your personal mission and vision, then now is the time. The offer ends in May!
